Capping off a busy couple of weeks, we held a corporate wine tasting for client Ashfords LLP. This is the third tasting we have held with them, this time with Carter Jonas.

The theme was Old World versus New World and we started off with crowd favourite Mas de Daumas Gassac Rose Frizant 2018, followed by Brunel de la Gardine Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2018. We then had our first New World wine – from South Africa, Vondeling Babiana 2017. Then onto the reds, and Waud Wines staple, Clos Pons Alges 2012. From Costers del Segre in North East Spain, this is a beautiful blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and Syrah. We then served the Mystery Wine – that went down well with the group – and they were left to answer the multiple choice questions to the best of their ability!

Congratulations to Ross Carter for winning the bottle of Gassac Fizz in the sudden death knock out!

The final wine from the evening was from San Marzano – the Anniversario 62 2015.
