From Paul and Jo Shinerock:
Jo and I downed a bottle of Phelan Segur 2004 the other day, photo attached.
Wine opened and decanted 2-3 hours before drinking with rack of lamb, buttered new potatoes etc.
A nice deep colour with pleasant encouraging nose, however the wine in the mouth and on the tongue was to say the least disappointing!
Very dry followed by bitter cherry, not a great deal of depth, past it’s best ! A touch softer given more time and after consuming more food.
Definitely not worth the money, interested to hear from anyone who has experienced drinking a better year.
