Utilize asked Waud Wines to host a corporate wine tasting with them at the end of April. We used one of our favourite venues – Gordon Ramsay’s Union Street Cafe in Southwark, SE1 for the event.

During the reception and welcome from Utilize CEO Warren Davies, the 80 guest’s sampled the fantastic Mas de Daumas Gassac Rose Frizant 2014 – before moving on into a France versus Spain wine tasting. The tasting was complemented with 7 rounds of canapes prepared by Union Street Cafe Head Chef, Davide Degiovanni.

The idea of the tasting was to allow guests to work out whether they preferred French or Spanish wines, as we showed them some classic wines such as Albarino and White Cotes du Rhone in the first round, followed by wines from Toro (North West Spain), Languedoc (Southern France), Costers del Segre (North West Spain) and finally Madiran (South West France).

A very enjoyable evening was had by all and we look forward to hosting three further tastings with Utilize this year.
