Corporate Virtual Wine Tasting with Taylor Wessing

Corporate Virtual Wine Tasting with Taylor Wessing

We held a very enjoyable corporate virtual wine tasting with law firm Taylor Wessing last night.

With 15 screens on the call, we worked our way through a Spanish themed tasting and tasted three cracking wines.

First up was from powerhouse Bodegas Muga in Rioja, where we tasted their Muga Rosado 2019. A wine that went down a treat with everyone, even though it was a dark and chilly evening. As we went around the ‘room’, our guests were picking out the tasting notes of stone fruits, strawberries oak and many more. It received an average score out of 7.46 out of 10, that was pretty good considering we had a number of non rose drinkers in the room!

Second up was the Pazo Barrantes Albarino 2018 from Rias Baixas in North West Spain. A wine that tore the crowd in two, where some of the group absolutely loved it, scoring it 9 out of 10, where others went as low as 3 out of 10! This is a super wine from a top grower – so receiving an average score of 6.66 was a surprise.

The final wine of the evening was back in Rioja – and we tasted the superb La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Seleccion Especial 2010. We were hoping this would be a crowd pleaser – and unsurprisingly we had saved the best until last. There was great feedback from this wine – notes of spice, smoke, herbs and dark fruit were noted by many – we even received a 10 out of 10 for the scores as well! This wine did come out on top – with an average of 8.38.

Many thanks to Taylor Wessing for inviting us to host this tasting with them. It was very enjoyable indeed.
