We held our first of 3 virtual wine tastings last night – with Spain being our first port of call.
Our tasting of two wines from opposite corners of the country were enjoyed by over 20 participants in the call – and hopefully we struck the right balance between being informative and good fun!
First up we had Coto de Gomariz, The Flower and the Bee wine from Galicia in North West Spain – this was then followed by Casa Castillo from Jumilla in the South East of Spain in Murcia.
Both wines seemed to go down well – with the Flower and the Bee having an average score of 7.97 out of 10, whilst the red just pipping it with 8.3 out of 10.
We introduced the idea of canape of the week, that seems will be a more competitive affair at next weeks tasting when we meet next Thursday for our next tasting with Bordeaux wines from Chateau La Tuilerie du Puy in Entre-Deux-Mers.

See you next week!
