Another great fun evening with a tasting with the superb wines of Michel Gassier from Costières de Nîmes in Southern France. This is a venue we have visited twice on Tour du Vin’s.
With 14 screens joining, we tried two red wines. Firstly, the Cotes-Du-Rhone Rouge 2017. A classic blend of Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah. This was a popular choice and received an average score 7.67.
Second up was Nostre Pais 2016. This is a wine we have listed on a number of occasions – and so we were pleased to be showing it at this tasting. This wine split the room – with a number thinking it was a really quite excellent wine – smooth, round, fine tannins, sweet fruit. The average score for this wine was slightly above at 8.00.
Congratulations to Corrie for winning canape of the week!
