Followers of Mas de Daumas Gassac, readers of Decanter and other wine magazines will have learnt of the very sad news of the death of Aimé Guibert earlier in the year. Aimé was the founder of this iconic winery and masterminded the first vintage in 1978.
Although Aimé handed the reins to eldest son Samuel fifteen years ago, 2015 will be a fabled vintage as it is the last one that had Aimé ‘s input. These wines are a celebration of a great man’s life – and will be a vintage that lives long into the memory.
This is our 5th En Primeur campaign from the vineyard affectionately known as the ‘Lafite of the Languedoc’. MDG have a selection of incredibly fine wines at very reasonable prices.
Many club members have attended Mas de Daumas Gassac dinners with us over the years, as well as visit the vineyard on the Tour du Vin in 2013.

The Wines
This En Primeur campaign is going to run until the 1st October where we will then be placing our order with Mas de Daumas Gassac.
75cl wines are packed in cases of 6, Magnums are packed in cases of 3, then Jeroboams and Mathusalem’s are packed in impressive 1 bottle wooden cases.
You will notice a considerable saving per bottle when ordering En Primeur, as highlighted in the tables below.
Mas de Daumas Gassac Red 2015
This vintage is majestic, with deliciously complex fruit and great body. It is a timeless vintage. Drink it while young to relish its elegant fruitiness, or put it down, knowing that in 7 or 15 years this wine will be truly superb, classy and complex. Cabernet Sauvignon blend with 15 other estate grown varietals.

Mas de Daumas Gassac Rose 2016
An explosion of red berry flavours – natural sparkling rose wine made with Cabernet Sauvignon fruits, very fine bubbles and low alcohol.
This wine is particularly popular in Magnum format.
